Welcome to my website!
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Earth Surface Systems Lab at Northeastern University. I study paleofloods, paleohydrology, and their associated climate using lake sediments and slackwater deposits. I use a variety of field, laboratory methods, and climate and hydraulic models.
Previously, I recieved my MS in Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Paleoclimate and Paleoenvironmental Change from the Paleoclimate Dynamics Laboratory at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I studied varved lake sediment in a high mountain lake in southern Colorado to understand and reconstruct late Holocene snowpack and productivity. Before graduate school, I was a lab technician in the Coastal Systems Group at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution working on variety of geologic research projects including Hurricane reconstructions in New England and the Caribbean and geophysical surveys in the Atlantic Ocean and across the Appalachian mountains.
You can learn more about my work on my research page. Along with scientific research, I am passionate about outreach, science communication, and furthering diversity and inclusion efforts in STEM.
